Tokinoka – qui signifie « le parfum du temps » en japonais – est un assemblage de whisky de grain de riz et de single malt, ce blended whisky est l’expression du goût et du savoir-faire japonais : précision et équilibre des arômes, texture délicate.
C'est en 1919 que la distillerie White Oak, située à Akashi, tout au bord de la mer intérieure Seto, a obtenu sa licence de distillation de whisky et autres spiritueux. Elle appartient à la société Eigashima, un des plus anciens producteurs de saké du Japon fondée en 1679. Devenue par la suite l'une des plus réputées pour l'élaboration de cet alcool traditionnel japonais, elle fut notamment la première à embouteiller le saké en 1899.
